The following steps, Illustrations and pictures will help with installation of our *thumb gate latches
(*All American, Daisy and Arts & Craft styles)
These steps are furnished as a general guide only and may not apply to your application.

Step 1.  Drill a 1 1/8" diameter hole
              ( a slot that is 3/8" wide x 1 1/4" high will also work well) (illustration 1)

Step 2. Mount the handle portion with the Thumb Bar protruding through and resting on the bottom of the  hole (or slot) in gate.  (illustration 2 and picture 2)

Step 3. Mount the "Staple" with the thumb bar protruding through and letting the Thumb Bar rest on bottom of slot in Staple.  (illustration 3)

Step 4. Mount Latch Bar allowing latch bar to rest on top of Thumb Bar.  (illustration 3)

Step 5. Mount Strike Catch allowing for latch bar to strike at the upper rounded portion of the strike catch.  This insures the striking will allow for the Latch Bar to ride up and over the Strike Catch. (See Picture 5)
